TOLLESON, AZ - Police are searching for a suspect they believe was involved in a crash and carjacking near 91st Avenue and the I-10 Thursday afternoon.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Department spokesman Chris Hegstrom said around 5 p.m., 34-year-old Arthur Aldaco was involved in an accident near 91st Avenue and the I-10 ramp.
Aldaco allegedly got out of his vehicle, ran up the street and pulled another driver from his vehicle and left the scene in the stolen car.
Aldaco is described as being five feet eleven inches tall, and approximately 250 pounds. Authorities said he escaped wearing only a black shirt and no shoes.
Police believe he may be driving a 2004 gray Nissan Frontier with Arizona license plate number AZ 947-NEK.
Police said no one was injured in the incident. 91st Avenue was closed while police investigated, but is now reopen.
Hegstrom said Aldaco is already wanted on a previous felony warrant and should be considered armed and dangerous.
