TOLLESON, AZ - Has your pet been vaccinated against rabies?

If not, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Services will be holding a free Rabies Vaccination Clinic for dogs and cats Wednesday, March 7.

The clinic will be held at Tolleson Veterans Park from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. That’s located on W. Van Buren Street and N. 87th Street in Tolleson.

If you plan to attend the clinic, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Services asks that pet owners have their dogs on a leash less than six feet length, and cats must be in carriers.

The county reminds residents that rabies can be fatal. If you are bitten by an animal infected with the virus, make sure you wash the bite wound with soap and water and seek medical attention immediately.
