SURPRISE, AZ - Surprise police have arrested two people on multiple counts of child-related crimes.
Sgt. Mike Donovan with the Surprise Police Department said a man and his girlfriend were arrested after a search warrant was served at a West Valley home just after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said they believe the crimes against the male suspect's two daughters, ages 11 and 13, began in 2009.
One of the victims reported the abuse to staff at a school last May, according to police.
Police said a lengthy investigation began leading the arrests of the two suspects.
Surprise police asked ABC15 not to release the identities of the suspects to protect the victims.
