SURPRISE, AZ - Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Walgreens pharmacy in Surprise on Tuesday night.

Surprise Police Sergeant Mark Ortega said the suspect entered the Walgreens near Waddell and Reems roads around 6 p.m. and approached the pharmacy counter.

He reportedly displayed a handgun and ordered Oxycontin and Percocet.

Ortega said the suspect then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of the drugs.

A gray, late model, two-door vehicle was seen in the parking lot during the time of the robbery and was gone immediately after, according to Ortega.

The engine was reportedly running, but no one was nearby and there was no license plate on it. It is unknown if it was related to the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, approximately 25 years old, and between 5 feet 6 inches tall and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, black denim pants, black shoes, a black baseball hat and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information on this suspect is urged to call 1.800.WITNESS or the Surprise Police Department at 623.222.4000.
