SURPRISE, AZ - A woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after being stabbed by a man at a Surprise fast food restaurant.
Police spokesman Michael Donovan said the man and woman got into a verbal altercation in the parking lot of a Jack in the Box near Cotton Lane and Bell Road.
Donovan said the man pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the woman several times in the chest.
Authorities said the woman was flown to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The stabbing suspect is in police custody. Donovan said police believe this was a domestic violence incident.
