SUN CITY, AZ - Dozens of police officers were on scene of what they believed was a hostage situation Tuesday morning in Sun City.
Peoria police spokesman Jay Davies said the incident started as a misdemeanor warrant at Jenny’s Diner near Peoria and 99th avenues.
The suspect ran away and may have stolen a bicycle since he traveled a far distance quickly, Davies said.
The suspect then broke into a random home near Alabama and 107th avenues where police believed he held a woman hostage.
Air15 video showed dozens of police units parked around the home.
The suspect reportedly surrendered soon after and was apprehended.
No one else was in the home.
