SUN CITY WEST, AZ - Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire in Sun City West.
Joaquin Enriquez, public information officer for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, said two people were killed in the fire near RH Johnson Boulevard and Bell Road.
Crews responded to the fire shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday.
Enriquez said it was initially believed the home was occupied, but crews weren't able to immediately confirm it. MCSO has since confirmed that the home was occupied by an elderly woman and a middle aged man.
Their names have not been released.
MCSO arson detectives are investigating the fire but say so far nothing looks suspicious.
There does not appear to be much damage to the outside of the home, but Enriquez said the inside had extensive damage.
