MCSO investigates shooting in Sun City

SUN CITY, AZ - Authorities have confirmed they are in the beginning stages of an investigation of a shooting Friday night in Sun City.

The shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Friday near Bell Road and Del Webb Boulevard, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Initial reports are a woman was shot in the head and is in critical condition. A spokesperson for MCSO said this does not appear to be a suicide.

Her husband was also in the house and is being questioned, MCSO said.
