SUN CITY, AZ - Authorities are investigating a deadly Friday morning crash near 99th and Grand avenues, also known as US 60, involving a pedestrian.
Department of Public Safety officials said a pedestrian crossed the road from south to north across three lanes around 5 a.m.
The pedestrian was struck and killed by a van, DPS spokesman Raul Garcia said.
The collision occurred near 103rd and Grand avenues Friday morning. Authorities closed the eastbound lanes near 103rd Avenue for several hours, but all lanes were reopened shortly after 8:30 a.m.
Authorities said speed does not appear to be a factor.
