Woman killed in Peoria motorcycle crash

PEORIA, AZ - A woman was killed Wednesday night after the motorcycle she was riding collided with an SUV.
Peoria police spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto said the woman collided with a Ford Expedition at 91st Avenue and Peoria around 6 p.m.
Jacinto said the woman was transported to the hospital, but was dead on arrival.
Police are not releasing the woman's name at this time. It is unknown if she was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Authorities had the intersection of 91st Avenue and Peoria shut down for hours while they investigated the accident.
