PEORIA, AZ - Peoria police have identified a man who died after he and his friend were rough housing at a sports bar.
Authorities say 45-year-old David Witmer of Surprise received a fatal head injury Friday after his friend put him a hold that caused him to pass out.
Matthew Pape is facing a second-degree murder charge in his death.
The bar's owner, Enoch Lucero, has said that the two men were joking Friday over a cell phone when Witmer fell and hit his head during a scuffle.
Lucero says the two men were best friends and regulars at the bar.
