PEORIA, AZ - Authorities say a Peoria man was taken into custody in northern Arizona on charges of sexual conduct with a minor.
Peoria police spokesman Jay Davies said 66-year-old Terryl (Terry) Gene Peters was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop in Coconino County.
Davies said the alleged incident was reported on June 18 and police had been investigating. By the end of last week, detectives had developed probable cause to arrest Peters.
Peoria investigators found out that Peters was at a family cabin in Coconino County and asked the sheriff's office to help locate him.
Peters was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a charge of sexual abuse.
