PEORIA - Authorities say a Peoria man is in custody in connection with a child sexual exploitation case.
Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies say 27-year-old Brian Fortner was arrested Thursday.
He's been booked into the downtown Phoenix jail on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Authorities say Fortner has been under investigation since July 28 when he reportedly threw away a duffel bag of explicit images of children along with his wallet containing his identification.
Sheriff's officials verified the images showed children that were underage.
A warrant was issued for a search of Fortner's home and deputies say a computer and other evidence was seized.
Fortner allegedly told authorities that he visited child pornography sites online and printed some of the images.
It's unclear if Fortner has a lawyer.
