PEORIA, AZ - Authorities said one person is dead after being struck by a semi in Peoria.
Amanda Jacinto, spokeswoman for Peoria Public Safety, said authorities are investigating after a man is believed to have jumped in front of a semi near 107 Avenue and Beardsley Friday morning.
The man did pass away as a result of injuries sustained during the accident.
Beardsley is closed from 107 to 111 Avenue while police investigate. Motorists should expect the closure to last several hours.
