PEORIA, AZ - Authorities say a man has been transported to a Valley hospital after he was struck by a boat at Lake Pleasant Friday.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jeff Sprong said the man in his 60s was swimming when he was struck by a boat backing up.
Sprong said the victim has a six to seven inch laceration on his abdomen and is being air-lifted to a Valley hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Deputies are investigating the accident that happened at Scorpion Bay around 1 p.m.
