GLENDALE, AZ - A Glendale family is struggling after two brothers drowned at Lake Pleasant over the weekend.
Nineteen-year old Danh Nguyen and 20-year old Tahn Nguyen were swimming with family. One of their other brothers watched it all happen from the shore.
"It haunts me, " said Dat Pham, their younger brother. "It was supposed to be a fun day."
Tahn was trying to swim across the cove when he got into trouble. Danh swam out to him and got pulled under as well.
Despite efforts by others at the lake to help, neither brother survived.
An account has been set up at Arizona Federal Credit Union in Tahn Nguyen's name. The family is struggling to pay for the unexpected funerals.
