PEORIA, AZ - Authorities are trying to figure out who torched two vehicles late Thursday night in a Peoria neighborhood.

The vehicles were parked in front of a house on 82nd Drive. The closest major intersection is 82nd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

An ABC15 crew on scene said the fires spread to the house, and the flames were about 20 feet tall.

The residents in the house were able to get out safely.

Fire investigators say they have had arson cases on the same street recently. The home appeared to have been chosen at random.

Anyone who may have seen what happened is encouraged to contact Peoria police at 623-773-8311.
