PEORIA, AZ - Peoria police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting in Peoria on Friday.

Police arrested 34-year-old Anthony Fuentes for the murder of 42-year-old Troy Hayes.

The shooting happened at a home near 87th Avenue and Bell Road around 1 p.m.

Hayes was reportedly visiting the home when Fuentes entered the house, prompting some kind of altercation.

Hayes was shot multiple times and later died at the hospital from his injuries.

Neighbors reported hearing anywhere from six to nine shots fired.

According to police, Fuentes left the scene in Hayes' car and parked it about a mile away.

Fuentes is being charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
