LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ - Fire destroyed three rooms at a popular West Valley resort on Saturday, a hotel spokeswoman says.
Alison Walsh with the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park said the fire started in a portion of the hotel where the rooms were being renovated.
Walsh said three rooms were completely damaged in the fire and nine other rooms have smoke damage.
Manny Cordova with the Goodyear Fire Department said the fire was in the attic and there was a lot of smoke from the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Fire crews from Goodyear, Avondale, Luke Air Force Base and Buckeye responded to the scene, Cordova said.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire. An investigation is under way.
