LAVEEN, AZ - A Christmas tree may be to blame for a late night fire that destroyed parts of a Laveen home.
Phoenix fire crews responded to the home near 75th Avenue and Baseline Road around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
A teen and two children made it out of the home safely, but the fire did "extensive" damage to the residence, fire officials said.
The family's Christmas tree was the possible cause of the fire, according to an investigator.
Phoenix Fire Department Crisis Response teams assisted the family at the scene.
