GOODYEAR, AZ - The Perryville prison was put on lockdown Thursday night after an inmate's husband made a threatening phone call.

According to Arizona Department of Corrections spokesman Bill Lamoreaux, the prison received a call from the husband of one of the female inmates threatening "suicide by cop".

Lamoreaux said the Goodyear Police Department came to the prison near Citrus and McDowell Roads to look for a suspect. The AZDOC put the prison on lockdown as a precaution.

During their investigation, Goodyear police determined the call came from out of state.

Lamoreaux said the situation ended without incident.
