GOODYEAR, AZ - One person has died, and two people have been charged after a bar fight, a shooting and a car crash in Goodyear Friday morning.
Lisa Kutis, spokesperson for Goodyear Police, said 21-year-old David Carrillo of Phoenix died Saturday morning after sustaining a critical gunshot wound Friday morning.
Police have identified two suspects-- Daniel Lopez, 25, and Breanna Lopez, 23 -- and charged them with attempted first degree murder and in a drive by shooting. Police said charges will be "upgraded."
Police said the entire ordeal started with some sort of a fight at the Game Time Sports bar in Avondale, Ariz. just have 2 a.m. Friday. Two groups of people fought and left the bar at the same time.
Police then heard multiple gunshots near Dysart and McDowell Roads in Goodyear. After arriving on scene, police discovered a crashed vehicle while a second vehicle was fleeing the scene.
Authorities were able to stop the fleeing vehicle, which consisted of one female and three male passengers all in their early 20s, said Kutis. All four were taken into custody Friday morning.
Both victims in the car that crashed were taken to a local hospital, where the driver of the vehicle died Saturday morning.
Police did locate a firearm in the suspect's vehicle.
