GOODYEAR, AZ - A woman was arrested Sunday after officials found marijuana inside her vehicle while she was visiting an inmate at the Perryville Prison.
According to Goodyear police spokesperson Jason DeHaan, police dogs smelled marijuana coming from a parked car outside the prison Sunday.
The car belonged to a man who had brought his daughter, Elizabeth Armenta, and her young children to visit his wife.
When police searched the vehicle they found 15 bricks of marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the car.
Armenta was booked for possession and use of marijuana with the intent to transfer or sell.
Her father was questioned and released.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
