GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale police had to tase a man who wandered into an employee lounge at a Walmart Tuesday afternoon.
Glendale police say 23-year-old Ryan Herman is being held on suspicion of unlawful imprisonment, assault, shoplifting and aggravated assault of an officer.
Police say the incident began Sunday when Herman allegedly tried to steal beer from a Walmart near 59th Avenue and Bell.
Herman apparently wandered into the shipping and receiving area, and eventually ended up in the employee lounge.
He allegedly told workers in the lounge to get against the wall and have a beer with him. The workers told police they felt uncomfortable and like they could not leave.
When police arrived, one of the officers deployed his Taser on Herman and arrested him.
