GLENDALE, AZ - A pregnant 17-year-old Glendale girl says she grabbed a gun and opened fire on a man breaking in to her house.
Laycee Lowe pulled the trigger through the doggy door hoping it would scare off the man.
The teen was home alone Monday morning near Maryland and 71st avenues when she opened fire on the burglar, she told ABC15.
Lowe said she wasn't sure if she hit the man, but knows that she scared him.
"I know I don't have the best shot ever, so I just got up close," she said.
The teenager, who is expecting her first child at the end of the month, said she had only fired a gun for target practice before this incident.
Lowe believes the man was canvassing the house earlier before he tried to break in.
She said the man was wearing a thick winter hat with ear flaps.
Police have not made any arrests, she told ABC15.
