GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale police are gathering information this morning after one person was shot at an apartment complex on Tuesday night.
The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday near 63rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Glendale Police Sgt. Brent Coombs said, police got an initial call of two Hispanic males walking through the apartment complex carrying a shotgun and firing it into the air.
When police arrived on the scene they found a victim who was shot with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim said he was on the phone with his girlfriend when a white/beige four-door Saturn pulled up next to him.
Sgt. Coombs says a passenger in the car got out and racked a shotgun and demanded the victim's necklace.
When the victim the ran, that is when he was shot.
Glendale police are looking for the shooter who is described as a Hispanic male in his 20's who is 5' 9" weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt, and beige shorts.
