GLENDALE, AZ - Police have identified a woman stabbed to death in Glendale Monday morning.
Glendale police say 25-year-old Victoria Lacey was stabbed near 47th and Orangewood avenues.
"A mother shouldn't have to bury her daughter," said Leislie Sharpe, victim's mom.
Authorities say Lacey began banging on the door of a home on Frier Drive and when an occupant answered the door Lacey said she'd been stabbed and pleaded for help.
"She was targeted," said Sharpe,"Someone out there knows something and knows who did this."
Lacey was stabbed in the chest and arm and was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
So far there is no information on a suspect or motive for the stabbing.
Police are asking anyone with information that might help detectives solve this murder call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
