GLENDALE, AZ - A woman has died after she and a man were shot in Glendale Tuesday night.
Glendale police identified the woman as 42-year-old Christina Marquez.
Police spokeswoman Tracey Breeden said the shooting happened around 9 p.m. at a home near 59th and State avenues.
Breeden said when officers arrived at the scene they found an adult Hispanic male and Hispanic female with gunshot wounds.
Police believe a Hispanic male knocked on the front door of the home and when the male victim opened the door, the suspect fired several rounds in the direction of the residence before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described only as a heavyset Hispanic male.
The two victims were taken to local hospitals where Marquez died late Tuesday night. The male victim is said to be recovering from his injuries.
Investigators are working to identify who the suspect might be.
