GLENDALE, AZ - If you walk into Sanderson Ford in Glendale, you'll notice trucks filled with stuffed animals, games, books and clothes and boxes filled with canned goods.

Over the last few weeks community members have been coming out in a big way to make sure every child gets a toy for Christmas and every family in need gets a hot meal.

But it's not too late for you to get in on the giving!

The 11th annual Operation Santa Claus is still going strong, but it ends this Thursday.

You can donate toys, food, cash and kids' clothing and get a chance to win a new pickup or car.

Jenny Kester with Sanderson Ford said they have more donations than last year, but there's a big need for clothes and toys for older children.

She said small electronics, DVDs, books and clothes make good gifts for teens.

All the donations benefit the Southwest Autism Research Center , Military Assistance Mission , Phoenix Children's Hospital and Saint Mary's Food Bank

Jerry brown with Saint Mary's Food Bank said this year he's been getting more calls than ever before from desperate families that don't know where to turn.

Brown said in the past parents have been able to buy one or two gifts for their children, but this year they can't even do that.

Donations can be dropped off at Sanderson Ford or Lincoln, at our ABC15 studio or at any UPS store.

You can also make donations at givetotheclaus.com .
