GLENDALE, AZ - A Mesa couple welcomed in the New Year with a happy, healthy baby boy.

Malcolm Rhodes, born to Kendra and Ash Rhodes on Tuesday at 12:04 a.m., is the couple's first baby said Banner Thunderbird Medical Center spokeswoman Rebecca Armendariz.

Malcom weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces.

Armendariz said the family is from Mesa, but they delivered the baby at Banner Thunderbird in Glendale because that is where their doctor is.
