GLENDALE, AZ - Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies found a 16-year-old boy at a drop house Thursday night in Glendale.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the drop house was near 75th and Glendale avenues.
Eight suspects at the drop house were booked into 4th Avenue Jail, MCSO said.
The 16-year-old boy and his uncle were turned over to Immigration Customs Enforcement.
According to MCSO, everyone arrested admitted to being in the country illegally.
Officials said the undocumented immigrants were on their way to other states, including California, Ohio, Indiana, Washington, and Pennsylvania.
They admitted to paying between $2,000 and $4,500 to get into the U.S. from Mexico.
