GLENDALE, AZ - Glendale police have arrested a man and woman they believe were involved in a Friday morning investigation regarding a burned body.
Sgt. Brent Coombs of the Glendale Police Department said the adult victim’s body was burned and dumped in the desert in the White Tanks Mountain region near 195th Avenue and Olive.
The two arrested have been identified as 31-year-old Daniel Griffith and 30-year-old Jennifer Griffith.
Daniel Griffith was booked Friday morning into the 4th Avenue Jail on one count of first degree murder and one count of abandonment and concealment of body parts, Coombs said.
Jennifer Griffith was arrested on one count of abandonment/concealment of body parts and one count of tampering with evidence.
During the investigation, Glendale police asked the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office for the use of their helicopter.
The victim has yet to be positively identified, Coombs said.
