GLENDALE, AZ - Officials say three high school students were injured while waiting at a traffic light in Glendale.
The accident happened at 47th and Northern avenues, across from Apollo High School.
Glendale police spokesman Brent Coombs said an SUV ran a red light and struck the students before hitting a wall.
Coombs said two female students were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the third was a male student who was checked out by fire department paramedics before being released to his parents.
Coombs said the driver of the SUV was not impaired and stayed at the scene, cooperating with police.
