GLENDALE, AZ - Fire officials say a man is dead after a mobile home fire late Saturday night in Glendale.

Glendale fire spokesman Gilbert Mancilla said the fire started around 11 p.m. at the home near Glendale and 48th avenues.

The man and a woman were inside at the time, he said.

The woman managed to escape, but the trailer had collapsed before fire crews knew another victim was inside, Mancilla said.

It's unclear if the woman alerted fire crews that the man was inside, he said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
