GLENDALE, AZ - Authorities say they've found a vehicle abandoned in a Glendale canal.

Air15 video showed the vehicle submerged up to its windows in the water near Thunderbird Road and 62nd Avenue.

The Glendale Fire Department initially told ABC15 a person in the vehicle was taken to safety by a ladder stretched between the vehicle and canal bank.

Authorities have since said the vehicle was found abandoned in the canal.

There was no word how it ended up in the water.
