Police are investigating after a man was hit by a car in Glendale Thursday night.
Glendale police say the accident happened around 7:45 p.m. near 75th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Preliminary reports indicate a car driving westbound hit the man as he was crossing from north to south on Camelback Road.
Authorities say the driver who hit the man was performing CPR on the victim when paramedics arrived.
The man was transported to a local hospital in extremely critical condition.
Police say it does not appear that alcohol is a factor at this time.
Camelback Road was closed in both directions near 75th Avenue while crews worked to clear the scene.
