GLENDALE, AZ - A Glendale police officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after an SUV collided with his patrol car Friday night.
Glendale police spokeswoman Tracey Breeden said the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. near 67th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
Breeden said the officer's patrol car was heading south on 67th Avenue with its lights going, stopped at Union Hills Drive, kept going and was hit by an eastbound SUV.
Authorities said the officer and a woman in the SUV were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two other people in the SUV were treated at the scene.
Breeden said speed and impairment to do not appear to be factors in the collision.
