GLENDALE - The Department of Public Safety says a man was killed Wednesday night after being hit by a car on the Loop 101.
Officials said the man was killed around 6:50 p.m. on the southbound State Route 101 at Union Hills.
Police have not released the victim's identity. It is unclear at this time what he was doing walking on the freeway.
Traffic was diverted off Union Hills and re-routed back to the 101 at Bell Road while police worked to clear the scene.
