EL MIRAGE, AZ - Police say a woman suffered critical injuries when she was hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in El Mirage Friday night.
El Mirage police say the vehicle fled the scene after hitting the 37-year-old woman who was crossing Thunderbird Road near Luna Street.
Officer Robert Peoples said the woman is in critical but stable condition Saturday.
Fire officials said a second pedestrian refused treatment at the scene.
The vehicle is described as a white, newer model Eclipse or similar make two-door passenger car. The vehicle is believed to have sustained front end damage and a broken windshield. Police released a photo of the vehicle on Saturday.
