EL MIRAGE, AZ - A local El Mirage RV business was burglarized this week, according to police investigators.
Police say the main electrical power cables were stolen from 23 RV units. The cables varied in lengths from 30amp to 50amp, and all contained copper.
According to El Mirage Police investigators, it appears the suspects "either cut the electrical cords with a sharp instrument or removed the cords from the storage compartments within the units."
The units burglarized were either travel trailers, motor homes or fifth-wheel trailers.
According to police, investigators believe this burglary is part of a growing trend of copper thefts that have been reported in other Valley cities.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the El Mirage Police Department at 623-433-9576.
