BUCKEYE, AZ - Officials say a teen reported missing has been found dead in the White Tank Mountains west of the Valley.
Maricopa County Sheriff's spokesman Chris Hegstrom said the juvenile male was reported overdue from a hike.
An MCSO helicopter crew at the scene told an ABC15 crew the victim is a 17-year-old cross country runner whose last GPS signal was tracked at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Hegstrom said the boy's body was found around 8 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities are investigating the cause of death, although foul play is not suspected at this time, Hegstrom said.
