BUCKEYE, AZ - Authorities say a man has been killed on a West Valley freeway.

According to the Department of Public Safety, an adult male in his 30s was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 10 near Jackrabbit Road and then hit a second time early Wednesday morning.

The driver of the second vehicle did stop.

During the investigation the eastbound on-ramp at Jackrabbit Road was closed, along with one lane of traffic.

DPS says they don’t know why the man was in the roadway.
