BUCKEYE, AZ - Authorities cleared the scene after a suspicious package was found in a trash can Monday morning at the Buckeye Justice Court building.
According to MCSO spokesman Joaquin Enriquez, the suspicious package was actually a lunch box in a trash can outside of the Justice Court near Yuma Road and Airport Road.
Authorities say nothing harmful was found inside the lunch box.
Enriquez said robots approached the box and found jars of pickles, mayonnaise, and soy sauce.
"It looked like someone cleared out a refrigerator," he said.
The entire complex was evacuated as a precaution.
Enriquez said law enforcement is on "heightened alert" due to recent bomb threats and scares in the Valley.
Air15 was over the scene and showed several employees leaving the area for the day.
