BUCKEYE, AZ - Officials have identified a woman who was killed and a man who was seriously hurt in a crash on Interstate 10 west of Buckeye Thursday morning.

Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Robert Bailey said 42-year-old Patricia John was driving a white 2006 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck eastbound on I-10 near Palo Verde Road at 7:25 a.m.

The vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway, traveled about 150 feet south of I-10, and rolled several times.

John was ejected and died at the scene.

John Petro, 31, was also ejected and suffered serious injuries. An 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy sustained non-life threatening injuries.

All three were transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment.

Bailey said no one in the truck was wearing a seat belt.
