AVONDALE, AZ - A man wanted for questioning in the shooting death of a woman in Avondale on Monday has been arrested in Las Vegas.

Michael Hall, 41, was taken into custody around 6 a.m. Tuesday by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Avondale police reportedly got a tip late Monday that Hall was possibly in the Las Vegas area and Las Vegas police spotted Hall's red PT Cruiser parked outside the Luxor Hotel parking lot around 1 a.m.

Police set up surveillance on the vehicle and took Hall into custody as he was walking back to the vehicle in the area around 6 a.m.

Hall is awaiting extradition back to Arizona to face charges in the shooting death of 28-year-old Donella Clauschee.

Police say Clauschee was shot in the head while putting her 4-year-old daughter in a car seat Monday. The child was not hurt.

Hall was originally considered a person of interest in the case, but police later named him a suspect in the killing.
