AVONDALE, AZ - Avondale police have officially named a suspect in the death of a woman who was shot in the head while putting her 4-year-old child in a car seat Monday.

Police said Donella Clauschee, 28, was found in the garage at a home near 110th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

The Avondale Police Department said 41-year-old Michael Hall is now being listed as a suspect in the shooting.

Hall is said to possibly be driving a red 2002 PT Cruiser with Arizona license plate number AVJ5881.

Avondale police said Clauschee was putting her child in the car seat when she was shot in the head.

Family members believed Hall was the killer before police ever named him as a suspect.

"Michael, we know you did this," said Clauschee's mother, Brenda Morgan-Charley. "You will pay, trust me."

The child was unharmed and found still in the child seat in the vehicle.

Neighbors reportedly heard the gunshots around 8 a.m. and found Clauschee dead.

Police say that representatives from an advocacy group were talking to the little girl to try to get information.

Neighbors told ABC15 the woman had moved into the house recently and they believed she lived alone with the little girl.

If anyone has any information on Hall’s whereabouts, they are urged to contact the Avondale Police Department 623-333-7227 or they can remain anonymous by calling silent witness at 480-WITNESS.
