DPS: Drop house uncovered in Avondale

AVONDALE, AZ - Multiple people were discovered inside a drop house after officials served a search warrant at the Avondale residence Wednesday night.

Carrick Cook with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said IIMPACT served the search warrant at the house in the area of 109 th Avenue and Locust.

DPS officers at the scene said two suspects tried to escape the house through a back window.

They were injured in their attempt to escape and both are reportedly in the hospital.

DPS also said there were 18 victims, including 16 males and two females.

Two of the victims were reportedly injured by the captors. They had broken ribs, cuts and bruises, according to DPS.

DPS also said two semi automatic guns were discovered inside the house.
