AVONDALE, AZ - A father is in critical condition after being allegedly stabbed by his son Sunday morning in Avondale.
Avondale police responded to a stabbing at a home near 107th Avenue and Thomas Road between a father and son, said Sergeant Brandon Busse, Avondale Police Department.
Police said the stabbing occurred after a physical altercation between the father and son.
The son is in police custody and the father is in critical condition and St. Josephs Hospital.
As of 1:00 p.m., no new information was immediately available.
Police have not released the names of those involved. The incident is under investigation.
