AVONDALE, AZ - Police confirmed Friday night they have a suspect in custody in connection with a deadly shooting in Avondale.
Avondale Police said in statement they have arrested 31 year old Thomas Davis Jr of Phoenix.
Authorities said officers were called around 5:15 p.m. to investigate a domestic violence call near 115th Avenue and Van Buren.
When officers arrived, they found 44 year old Albert Thomas Jr. shot to death in the middle of the street.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Authorities confirmed around 9:15 p.m. they had found the suspect and taken him into custody.
Thomas Davis Jr. has been booked into 4th Avenue Jail and is being charged with second degree murder.
