TEMPE, AZ - New surveillance video has been released of a dam at Tempe Town Lake minutes before it burst and collapsed Tuesday night.
Video shows water pouring over the dam and then a bright flash of light.
Just minutes later a portion of the dam burst and water began pouring from the lake.
Video from Air15 Thursday morning shows the nearly empty lake.
Tempe officials have ruled out foul play after a tear developed in the rubberized dam, causing it to collapse around 9:45 p.m.
Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman said the lake would probably not be reopened until sometime this fall, leaving boaters and rowers high and dry.
The man-made lake has four dams on its west end; the break was in the middle section.
The city blames the dam's manufacturer, Bridgestone for the break, while the company says the dams were sold with a 10-year warranty that expired in 2009.
The City of Tempe said Bridgestone is paying for the replacement work.
